The Lakhpati Didi Yojana, launched by the Government of India, aims to make 3 crore women in the country financially independent. Under this scheme, women are not only provided with skill training but also given financial assistance to start their own businesses.
1. What is the Lakhpati Didi Yojana?
The main objective of this scheme is to increase the annual income of women associated with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to at least ₹1 lakh. The government wants women to become entrepreneurs instead of being confined to their homes.
2. Key Features of the Scheme
Interest-Free Loan: Women can get a loan of up to ₹5 lakh without any interest to start their business.
Free Training: Professional training is provided in skills such as LED bulb manufacturing, plumbing, drone repairing, modern farming techniques, and tailoring.
Market Support: The government helps women connect their products to larger markets and e-commerce platforms.
Insurance Facility: Affordable insurance coverage is also provided to beneficiary women under the scheme.
3. Who can avail the benefits of this scheme? (Eligibility)
The applicant woman must be a permanent resident of India.
The woman must be associated with a Self-Help Group.
The family's annual income should be low (priority is given to economically backward classes).
4. Required Documents
These documents are necessary when applying on the website or visiting the block office:
Aadhaar card and residence proof.
Income certificate.
Bank account details (Passbook).

5. Application Process
